Health inspections
Total number of health inspections for each year, starting from the year 1997 through 2000, with a 5% projected increase expected between 2001 - 2005. Health inspections are conducted on a quarterly basis for all restaurants and retail food establishments to detect food borne illnesses and to insure the quality of health for our community.

Health Card Clinic
Total number of clients who received health cards from the year 1997 through 2000, with a projected 5% increase for food service and day care facilities expected between 2001 - 2005. The City of Gary's Division of Health and Human Services is the only health agency in the state of Indiana that issues health card certificates requiring testing for syphilis, tuberculosis and hepatitis A.

Immunization Clinic
Total number of clients who received services for immunization: hepatitis B, diphtheria, tetanus, H. influenza type B, polio, varicella, influenza, pneumococcal conjugate, hepatitis A, measles, mumps, rubella and pneumococcal.

Tuberculosis Outreach Program
Total number of reported tuberculosis cases in the state, county, and City of Gary, Indiana. Bar graph four is the total number of medications for tuberculosis provided by the state to clients to reduce the transmission of tubercle bacilli.
