HOPE VI DUNELAND

Thanks to a Hope VI grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Gary Housing Authority is completing a new mixed-income neighborhood several blocks west of the Lake Street business district. This community will include detached and attached housing, a community center and new scattered-site construction in nearby neighborhoods. The development will take place thanks to a public-private venture created for the specific purpose of redeveloping this site.
