25th AVENUE DEVELOPMENT

The W. 25th Avenue area, between Chase Street and Grant Street, is one of the most active development areas in the City of Gary. New construction on this corridor includes:

5A. M.C. BENNETT PARK: The new incarnation of this park will occupy land at, and just east of, 25th Avenue and Chase Street. Elements of this new park - moved from its former location at 25th and Grant - will be a walking trail, basketball courts and a pavilion. It is in early stages or construction as of this writing.
