Gary, Indiana - Mayor Rudy Clay will host the annual Employee Holiday Party on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at the Genesis Convention Center.

Employees will enjoy good food, music, fun and entertainment during the holiday event.

The party kicks off at 6:00 p.m.

SUPER COP BOXING EVENT YIELDS THOUSANDS IN PROCEEDS

Gary, Indiana - Mayor Rudy Clay will hold a Press Conference, Tuesday, December 11, 2007 to announce the proceeds following the Indiana Super Cop Boxing Event held at the Genesis Center earlier this year.

The Press Conference will be held in the Gary Room of City Hall at 11:00 a.m.

The event is presented in an effort to support a fund for families of fallen police officers.

FEMA OPENS OFFICE IN GARY

Gary, Indiana - Following a Presidential disaster declaration, Mayor Rudy Clay announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in conjunction with the State and County Disaster Recovery Centers will open an office in Gary to begin the process of assisting citizens after the city and surrounding communities suffered significant storm damage during the period of August 15-27th.

CONTRACT WITH CITY FOR SNOW REMOVAL

Gary, Indiana - Mayor Rudy Clay announced this week that citizens who own pick-up trucks, bobcats or snow equipment can contract with the General Services Department to keep Gary's streets clear of snow.
