GARY PRESENTS ITS ANNUAL INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE
FRED "THE HAMMER" WILLIAMSON JOINS THE CELEBRATION
Gary, Indiana - The City of Gary will present its annual Independence Day Parade on Saturday, July 3, 2010 beginning at 9:00 a.m. The parade theme is "In Gary, Indiana ... We Are Doing Great Things." Fred "The Hammer" Williamson will again join Mayor Clay for this exciting event.

ON MONDAY DUE TO FURLOUGH DAY
Gary, Indiana - All City of Gary Municipal Offices will be closed on Monday, June 28, 2010 due to mandatory furlough day. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, June 29.

GARY HOSTS MEMORIAL AND OFFICIAL UNVEILING OF THE MICHAEL JACKSON
MONUMENT
Gary, Indiana - On Friday, June 25, 2010 the City of Gary, Indiana will remember its favorite son, Michael Joseph Jackson. Michael was born in Gary on August 29, 1958 where he was reared until the age of 10. June 25th marks the first anniversary of Michael’s passing.
