Gary, Indiana - Mayor Rudy Clay will hold a Press Conference, Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. to discuss a $300,000 Phase II CARE Community Environmental Health Grant awarded to the City of Gary to implement the Gary Community Action Plan for Healthy Children, Healthy Homes, and Healthy Neighborhoods.

Gary, Indiana - The Gary Health Department is providing free flu shots for Gary residents. Immunizations will be provided on Thursdays by appointment only. Proof of residency is required at the time of service.

Gary, Indiana - The Gary Human Relations and Board of Commissioners will host a Disability Awareness Community Forum on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. The forum will be held at 839 Broadway, Gary, Indiana, in the first floor (rear) Conference Room. The Gary Human Relations Commission, a local civil rights in housing, employment, education, and public accommodation, based on a person's race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, disability, or familial status.
